I'm trying to figure where my leak is coming from I put a rubber winter plug in my return line. When trying to take it out it fell into the plumbing line. Any ideas how to get it out thanks
Does this plug have the steel wingnut fastener on it? If so, try getting it with an extendable magnet. Or perhaps with someone's help., turn-on the pump in a short burst to let the water push it to the opening in hopes you can grab it?
I accidentally opened the wingnut plug side and not the screwed in return side one spring and the back pressure sucked the rubber plug in the pipe and past a 90 degree bend. The shop vac got it after a boatload of prayers and curses. It was a loooooooooooooong 10 minutes.
lesson learned : Always release negative pressure from the return plug / skimmer gizmo that can not get sucked into the pipe.
