Winter cover purchase calling all mesh cover owners

Hey all 1 more question. My auto cover box is 2'. My pool is 16×32, should I get a 16×34 cover to cover up the whole auto cover box? If I go with the size of the pool the cover will end right in the middle of the aluminum lid that covers the auto cover box.

Generally you want around 1-2' of cover overlap.

Ok so getting the 34' length would be better right. This was my thought as well

You may find a 16'x36' to be cheaper. The material is sewn in 4' blocks. When I had one installed on the current pool, I was surprised by the lower price. The pool company told me standard sizes are cheaper than custom sizes.

Anyone else that have mesh safety covers want to share experience. Especially in colder climates. Is the pool overflowing ever a problem? Do you need to pump your pool?
Ontario, Canada so ya...some cold climate :). Always pump below returns, blow out lines and then plug. Have never had an issue with water level. Peel back corner of the cover in the spring and let the robot do most of the pool cleaning for me before I really open it. Highly recommend a Mesh99 cover as it really only lets water through and the pool is noticeably clearer upon first opening.
