Winter chlorine levels

Running my pool all winter.
Checking my chemistry today and have a question about chlorine levels.
Turned off and disconnected my swg from the OmniLogic a few weeks ago. My chlorine level had gotten up to 5 when I disconnected it.
As of today 3wks later the free chlorine level remains 5.
Does the drop in water temp effect this reading when using the Taylor test kits?
I had purchased liquid chlorine anticipating adding chlorine . Water temp is in the 50’s.
All other chemistry test perfect.

Water temperature does not effect FC readings.

Without much UV and low water temperature, your pool will just not consume much FC. So keep testing about every week.
