Was pretty close to eye of Florence. We were very lucky and made a calculated decision to stay. As soon as winds went down, this pool-girl was out working the leaf bag and brushing. Then the rains came and I was so glad my east facing patio got swept before otherwise would have had a huge dump more of leaves and soot.

My pool education from TFP was priceless! I had a big stash of liquid chlorine and am replacing my CYA now. My chems are only needing fine tuning. With electricity back on as of last night, I just finished vacuuming the soot. I have beautiful sparking water. Skimmer socks were very valuable to prevent all the fine particles going into the filter. They needed frequent changing, but totally worth it.

Lots of pools on my street with owners wondering when they will hear from their pool service. I'll be back to deep-water running today!

Now I get to try out my new "Out Spot" device on some of those leaf/debris stains on my white plaster.

Can't thank you again. My Gold Supporter level totally worth all the priceless information.

I'll 2nd that big THANKS!! We didn't get hit very hard by Florence since we are closer to Raleigh than Wilmington, but after dumping extra water out of my pool twice (over the past 5 days), vacuuming out all of my leaves and brushing the pool floor really well, all I needed to do was add a little CYA, dose up the LC and we are now back to a clean, bright blue pool!! Thanks again, TFP folks. Now if I can do something about all my cold water without buying an expensive heater! LOL
