Im trying to hook up a solar heater to my intex pool. I found adapters to go from the threaded to either 1-1/4 or 1-1/2 tubing. I found clear PVC Vinyl tubing at Lowes I can buy per foot, would this work? Idk what psi Id be running but says good to 25 psi. If this wont work anywhere else I can get cheap hose? This will only be hooked up for about 3 months.

Yes that tubing will work, but if it’s for the solar heater maybe try to find black hose instead of clear.

Thats cheap Ill go get two of those thanks. Any recommendations for adapters? Can I get what I need at a home depot?

Didnt know if they were the same size as the intex, also the threads are on the intex pump side Ill need a coupler

Ill have to look tonight. I found an adapter at Lowes that threads onto what I have. Only problem I see is Intex uses a rubber seal, if I use this adapter theres no flat sealing surface for a seal only threads. Would thread tape work in this case?

You can try it, but I don’t think that will be a water tight seal.
I had an intex sand filter hooked up to the easy set we used to have. I made some fittings using intex hose nuts, box adapters, and inch and a half pvc threaded adapters. I used the intex rubber seals too, no leaks!

Thanks for the help, bought all my supplies and decided to hook up my solar heater right to the pump before I did all the work. Glad I did as it had a pretty large leak from storage over the winter, guess Im taking it all back till I decide on another solar heater
