Pool builder installed a small light niche which is incorrect one for a Pentair 5g light. I didn't notice until after shotcrete. So they came out and cut wrong light niche out and installed a large light niche. I was watering the repaired shotcrete after they installed a large niche and I took off the cardboard cover off the new large niche and noticed its a Hayward. I found a thread from a while ago saying 5G light will work with longer screws??

I think it should. Ask your PB to grab a 5G light and show you it fits.

Thanks, PB came out yesterday to collect payment and I did ask him about it, he said it'll fit. The reason they used the hayward had something to do with the way the conduit would fit. pentair wouldnt fit unless the dug up more conduit but they could make it work with the hayward.
