Will CH increase with trichlor puck?

Recently my pool has been needing more than the usual LC. Tested CYA and it has dropped. I have a full bucket of trichlor pucks I purchased before discovering TFP. I'd like to use them to raise CYA but don't want to throw off my CH. I looked up effects of adding trichlor on the Pool Math App and it doesn't even list CH as being effected. I thought I remembered reading on here that trichlor pucks increase CYA & CH over time. Is it just my memory that is off cause that would be good news this time?
 
There is no calcium in trichlor.

I suspect you might want to add some granular CYA. Your FC loss will be quite dramatic with no CYA. Be sure to maintain your FC based on your CYA level, even while using the trichlor.

Will the copper decrease in the same way the CYA decreases? I haven't used any pucks since staring TFP. The first thing I had to do was drain water to lower the CYA. CYA was 30 after the drain/refill. Now with all the kids splashing around & running out to have cannon ball contests (nieces & nephews a couple times a week) plus the large amount of rain we get the CYA is down to 0.....so would the copper lower in the same way and be ok?

It sounds like you’re remembering that chlorine disintegrates, while the calcium and cya doesn’t. That’s what those two have in common. cyanuric acid, and calcium, are combined As ‘2-fers’ In most stores that sell Pool products.
Pool retailers sell chlorine (by itself) but also market tons of chlorine Combined with cyanuric acid (trichlor and dichlor).
And Tons of Chlorine combined with Calcium. (Calhypo)
The chlorine disintegrates, while the calcium And the Cya, do not ...well
At least not proportionately to the chlorine...
