will ash from fire raise my pools PH

I am in Northern CA, with tons of fires around us and lots of smoke. My PH had been holding steady but suddenly jumped higher. Can this be from the smoke and some ash from the fires?

It seems logical the ash would raise pH. Though in some other areas over the last several years that had fires nearby it was not widely reported as an issue.
