Why is their foam

Yall have helped me kick start my Slam in a previous post. Now I'm having an issue.

I have two filters. I previously soaked them in muratic acid and then gave them a good rinse.

I cannot remember if the 1st filter foamed bc I started a Slam. But here is a pic of a few hours after I Swapped them out.

What is going on?

I doubt the foam has anything to do with the filter. Anything's possible during the SLAM. If you ever added algaecides, they tend to cause foaming. The bleach will get rid of it. Check out these pictures. http://www.troublefreepool.com/thre...uragement-for-those-with-algae-and-new-to-BBB
