Why does my Dolphin E30 do this?

4 year old Dolphin E30. It's worked really well up until lately. The leaves are now somehow bypassing the basket and getting ground up near the latch on the top or jammed into the exhaust port. I attached two photos. I have replaced the filters and made sure nothing is stuck. Any ideas? (This happened also when I first got the machine... in that case, I didn't have the filters in properly. I don't think this is the same cause. )

The filter basket is not sealing properly against the top plate. Debris that is being pulled into the filter is bypassing the filter and getting sucked up by the impeller motor. The impeller is grinding it up and shooting out through the thrust ports.

You need to inspect all the sealing surfaces and make sure the basket is sitting securely in place. There are a couple of springs on the bottom that force the basket upwards. They may need to be changed.
