White Granules

Hey All,

We are opening our fiberglass pool today. It is saltwater with saltwater cell. When we pulled back the auto cover, water was completely clear, which was nice, however, as you can see by the photos there are a TON of white type granules at the bottom.

They are too fine to get with a net and any movement just stirs it up, so not easy to get.

Any ideas what this may be or how to resolve?

Thanks in advance!

Please post your water chemistry test results or link your Poolmath data.
Can you capture some of them?

Testing water now. Here is what we were able to get with a filter sock. Had to makeshift fit it in the filter basket to catch what we could. Has almost a salt/sand type texture and look to it.
