While swimming today, I was using my net skimmer to clean out any debris I could (lots of bugs from the light being on last night!). I put on goggles to help me see under the water and WOW, I can see alot of little particles and debris that way!
Anyways, I noticed these white "Chunks" floating in the water and would catch them in my hand skimmer. When I would touch them, they would disintegrate. Thats the best way to describe it. Almost reminds me of when Coconut oil solidifies but when you touch it, it melts away. Any idea what this may be?
All my chemistry numbers are within range and the pool water itself looks nice and clear. It does not look like "White Mold". These particles probably would have not been noticed floating if I was not under the water with goggles. I have noticed some long clear stringy type things when I first filled my pool, but have not noticed that really anymore.
I did backwash my system today as my suction had stopped working so I did the backwash and everything was fixed. My pool was a new pool/fill about a month ago...Vinyl Intex with SWCG.
Any thoughts as to what this could be?
