White "chunks" while skimming pool by hand

While swimming today, I was using my net skimmer to clean out any debris I could (lots of bugs from the light being on last night!). I put on goggles to help me see under the water and WOW, I can see alot of little particles and debris that way!

Anyways, I noticed these white "Chunks" floating in the water and would catch them in my hand skimmer. When I would touch them, they would disintegrate. Thats the best way to describe it. Almost reminds me of when Coconut oil solidifies but when you touch it, it melts away. Any idea what this may be?

All my chemistry numbers are within range and the pool water itself looks nice and clear. It does not look like "White Mold". These particles probably would have not been noticed floating if I was not under the water with goggles. I have noticed some long clear stringy type things when I first filled my pool, but have not noticed that really anymore.

I did backwash my system today as my suction had stopped working so I did the backwash and everything was fixed. My pool was a new pool/fill about a month ago...Vinyl Intex with SWCG.

Any thoughts as to what this could be?

Here is photo and video from this afternoon when I was in the pool skimming. This stuff is soft when you touch. I also included a picture of my current pool water that its nice and clean. The video shows what happens when I touch it between my fingers. Any other thoughts?!

Disclaimer that I don't know much of anything. But I ask about cartridge because the big white piece looks like what was catching in my skimmer. It was the bands around my cartridge filter falling apart and going into the pool. Just pointing out if it somehow happens to be the same and I could possibly help in any way.

No cartridge filer and that big white piece is not the one in question as I think that is paper from a "tag" on a raft. I have seen white mold before and this just didn't look like it. The pool water is self looks very clean and clear. The particles do not sit on the top of the water, but rather are just floating throughout the pool. I thought it could be built up salt from our rafts that we take in and out of the pool. We dont use swim diapers in our pool; my daughter uses a "reusable" swim bottom that is hand washed after use.

When I rub the pieces between two fingers is almost turns into a "creamy" consistency if that makes sense:eek: I have not been seeing as much of it lately, but we also have been busy and not in our pool much over the last few days.
