Absolutely, especially with AZ's hard water history. See below in my signature the Recommended Levels. While AZ owners expect to exceed that CH max limit, they typically compensate by keeping the pH and TA lower which helps to reduce the "CSI" level (see the Poolmath Calculator).
Looks like the recommended max with a Salt System is 450 so I'm not that much over but would like to lower it a bit to see if the scaling stops.... Do I need to get the Ph down? Currently running around 7.6.
Since you can't lower CH without changing water .... yes. Lowering pH and/or TA helps to counteract the elevated CH. If you keep the water on the slightly negative CSI scale (see Poolmath) that should help greatly.
