Whisperflo Pump

I just screwed up bad. I was replacing the bearing on my whisper flo pump and split the threads into three parts from the bearing puller. Have I ruined my motor?

Is there something I could have done to prevent this? I was surprised at how hard that bearing was to get off.

There's no fixing it.

Maybe stop by a pool service shop or electric motor repair shop and ask for an old motor that they were going to recycle.
