While waiting for my new pump, how should I reconfigure my pumping station?

This is a hot mess. While I am waiting for my new pump to arrive, I am thinking about revamping my pumping station. Maybe put down a new pad, cut and cap off the unused piping, and make the flow a little better.

Any suggestions on what to change and what to use as a pad?

expo,

Well, since you most likely will have to cut the PVC to make your new pump fit, now would be a great time to pour a new pad.

I'd lay down a level 2 x 4 frame and fill it full of concrete from the home store. Let it dry and remove the frame. I would not incase any of the pipes in the concrete,

I like your idea of capping off all unused pipes.

The only other thing I'd do is use unions on your new pump that are designed for pool pumps. Like this... CMP Pump Union 21063-200-000 | Replaces Pentair Pump Union 11201-0154

Thanks for posting,
