Which LED Bulb?

I too didn’t like the idea of relying on the gcfi and being a gasket away from electrocution with 120 volt bulbs. Search the web for pool electrocutions and you will see what I mean. I replaced by halogens with the highest wattage 12v led I could find that had a e26 base (standard base for a 120 bulb in the US) and that fit inside the existing housing. In my case, 2 years ago, it was a 12 watt corn cob led. Turns out that 12 watts is enough. It produces a nice soft light at night. I mounted the 12v transformer in the utility area electrical box and wired in a switch. I then had a licensed technician go over my work. If I were to do it over again, I would add a remote switch, possibly activated via an iPhone app.

So, I am supporting you for switching to 12v and giving you another option - find a 12v led with an e26 base that is the same size as the halogen you are replacing.
