ive been researching many of the different robotic cleaners on the market and have decided i would like to try a dolphin by Maytronics.
(my Kreepy Krauler has no more Kreep in his crawl)

any dolphin owners in the group?? who have been happy with a dolphin pool cleaner.
i welcome dolphin owner opinions as to make/model suggestions and why.....
TIA

I've had a Dolphin Quantum for 14 months and it just died on me. The motor is toast. I bought it on Amazon from an authorized dealer and am trying to have it repaired under warranty. I've emailed them and haven't gotten a reply so now I'm going to give them a call tomorrow to see if they are going to help me out or am I going to have to buy a new robot. I won't buy another Dolphin product unless they get my clearer going with an expedited effort. My pool looks horrible due to not having a cleaner. Not really what I was hoping for after spending 1k on a cleaner just last season.

Halfway through year 6 with my Dolphin Nautilus. I couldn't be happier with it.
Sadly, the scrubbers are about worn down along with the white ring things on each end of them, so I think rather than spend money on repairing a 6 year old robot, I'll replace it next year. I will be sad when I retire the old gal, she's been a good one and never once complained.

Considering what I paid for it, the value has turned out to be about 10$ month, or less, for a pool which is cleaner than I would ever be able to keep it otherwise.

Since Im in Texas and I dont close my pool, my robot gets a work-out for at least 3x a week, every week, for 9 months a year.

YMMV, but for me a key factor in selecting a Maytronics robot was its ability to resist getting hung up on the main drains. Our main drains are of the newer, mandated variety and as such stick up from the bottom more than older drains do. We had a Dolphin DX-4 robot that always got hung up on the main drains....often spinning around them for 5 minutes or more before breaking free. When this robot died (after 5 years and 3 power supplies) I was torn between a Polaris robot and either the Maytronics MX400 or MX500. Both of the Maytronics robots mentioned here have a center drive roller on the bottom, and Maytronics assured me neither would get hung up the our drains.

Fast forward over 12 months, and our MX400 has worked perfectly, never once getting hung up on the main drains. Very happy with our purchase.

Now...if getting caught up on the main drains wasn't an issue, I'd probably have chosen the Polaris cleaner, as it has a feature that summons it to the side of the pool and evacuates the water before you lift it out. (Much lighter than the Maytronics!).

Hope this helps.
