I'm new to the forum, but have already learned so much. Been a pool owner for a few years now, but it wasn't until last year that we got fed up with the pool guy not doing a good enough job so this is our first fullbsummer taking things into our own hands. We just completed our first SLAM and its already better than when we were paying the pool guy!
We're considering a SWG, but I'm not sure where it would go. The longest stretch of pipe is a vertical section after the filter, but it is still only about 16 in, which I don't think will be enough for the SWG and flow switch. Can I extend the vertical pipe up higher, or would it be better to add length somewhere else? The filter tends to run on a relatively high pressure (around 25 PSI when clean), so I'm concerned that adding too much pipe could increase that.
I'm leaning toward Circupool RJ-30 or Universal because they can be vertically installed and I'd prefer to save money with DIY (you can see my handiwork in the unpainted section of pipe where I repaired a leak and replaced the IFCS which seems to be holding up ok, so this sounds much easier by comparison.) I'm very open to suggestions and advice though. Maybe a different model is better suited to my situation?
blue dot goes to aerator (rarely used), pink dot is labeled chlorine (no idea where that goes to or what it does), yellow dot is the in floor cleaning system
