I keep my bleach and acid in a closet inside my house. I thought it’s best to keep them out of the heat and cold. But now after reading all these posts, maybe I should move them to the garage. I keep 1-2 of acid and 3-4 of bleach.
I think you've gotten the message by now. But to reinforce: we have at least one story here where metal tools and whatnot in a garage were corroding. He finally figured out it was the venting acid jugs he was storing. They shouldn't be in the garage.
A metal wall, I take it? It depends on the amount of circulation you're getting around the pool, but I would play it safe and keep it as far away as possible. Think also about fence and gate hardware, wire trellises, etc. Anything metal. Strategize the location based on what is easiest and. cheapest to replace. That said, if you get a good breeze daily that'll help.
I lock my storage boxes when children are present. MA and liquid chlorine look too much like jugs of lemonade. It sounds far fetched, but you've never met my middle one!
