Hello again! I have another question. Over night my pool filled up super fast and is going to be at the skimmer in a couple of hours. When should I turn my pump on for the first time?

You should see a line/mark about halfway up the skimmer that marks the proper level.
^^^^^^ there ya go. When is the PB coming back to treat the water ? Circulating won't do much without adding chemicals to mix up. People tend to believe the pump and filter keep the pool balanced at first. The filter sucks out debris like dirt/dust that gets blown into the pool and the pump pushes the water through the filter to make that happen. The pump also stirs up the chemicals to keep the water evenly treated and clear, but its the chemicals that are keeping the pool clean.
I called the pool store and they are closed for the long weekend. Not sure what they expected me to do. They begrudgingly agreed to let me come pick up some starter chemicals. They are supposed to come do a ‘pool school’ and show me how to use everything but I guess they thought it was ok to wait until Monday.
I followed the directions on the pump for the initial startup but it keeps sputtering out air. Is that just normal?

Did you prime the pump when you first turned it on? If not, that's probably the source of your air. Turn it off, let the pump drain, prime it and turn it back on.
All the chemicals you need are at the local Wal-Mart. You need 20 Mule Team Borax, baking soda (in the big bag), liquid chlorine (in the garden department, Pool Essentials liquid shock) and stabilizer (also in the garden section). You don't need a pool store for that.

read the manual for the sand filter.
you should run a rinse cycle so the fine sand doesnt blow into the pool.
also you shouldnt have air in the lines because you have an abg.
if you still have air, bleed the air out of the sand filter
