When to replace popups after resufacing?

When our pool was completed the in floor ran for 3 days with no module (allowed water to all zones all the time). During pool school he was going to install the module and the pop ups but the pop ups were not on site. After installing the module and we were running only one zone at a time, we had a lot of debris that came out. We ran that way for about a week until he came back with the pop ups. We probably didn't need a full week to get everything blown out but at least a few days would be helpful.

My PB left them out for at least a week. Lots of debris came out. But this was a new build, and not just a replaster. So I had a lot of PVC shavings.

I'd want to run at least a day before re-installing.

I think they simply don't want to make 2 trips. Not sure how hard they are to install but I would wait and do it myself if he refuses to come out a 2nd time to install them.

How is your electric bill? Pop-up need to run the pump at full speed. Have you considered a robot? You could convert the pop-ups to floor returns. Just a thought!
Oh, that's punching above my weight. Lol Its AZ, so typically high.

The infloor pump is super loud, but the tech said it could be because there is no module in and no popup heads.

Lots of debris on the main drain heads...not really anything on the others.

If its super loud the bearings are about to go. You should really consider it.

Fill out your signature, including pool, pool equipment (manufacturers and model numbers), IFCS brand and popups type and what test kit you are using. This makes it easier for us to help without you having to tell us what you have each time.

It may be best to leave the popups out for a week or two - but you can install the water valve modules, as that will cause it to cycle thru each zone and provide more pressure/flow per zone to blow debris out of the infloor lines.
