we had a dip if FC which caused a bloom of algae. We have that taken care of and water rebalanced. My question is, when is it safe to put the solar cover back on the pool. It’s been on a reel for 24 hours. Should we clean it before putting it back on the pool? Will algae still live on the cover while it was on the reel? Thanks for the help!

Increased chlorine. We’ve struggled with high CYA so got it as close to the SLAM method as we could. Still increased for a few days. Anyway, we cleaned the cover with bleach and let it dry in the sun, then put it back on the reel. Hopefully will be good to put it on in a few days.

Yeah, you are probably ok, particularly if you cleaned it with bleach. Do you still have high CYA?
