To the creek!
Water is a little turbid, been raining a lot here. Usually by July the water is maybe 6 inches lower, crystal clear, and warm. The entire creek bottom is a sand/gravel mix. It also runs through traditionally agricultural land (not used in many years) and is free of typical trash. I.E. no broken bottles, no tires, no old beer cans etc. We catch small bluegill, sunfish, and tiny bass all on dry flies. Catch crawdads and mussels. We see the occasional turtle, snake, wild turkey, deer, owl, various birds and ........once i saw what HAD to be a mountain lion (or some type of HUGE cat). We hear coyote's nightly but i've never seen one of them.
