When is it safe to swim?

I shocked last night and things are sparkly again this morning, butmy question is, how low does the chlorine need to be to be safe? Its currently 17.5 at the moment and it’s in the sun so I’m guessing will drop down a little since my CYA is only about 25. (Rounding to 30 I guess). But the kids want to swim this afternoon after school!

My understanding is you can swim up to shock level without concern. You definitely need more CYA though.

Yes, but it clouded again so I slammed again. Someone said my ladder may be the culprit. It does fill with water and you can’t really clean in there. I’m going to see about getting a better design.

Safe if FC is above the minimum for your CYA and you can see the bottom of the pool.
Ideally you may want the FC to be below shock level for your CYA.
