Whats your after swim routine?

Now that swim season is in full swing here in Texas, I have been getting into the habit of rinsing the deck and feature wall with fresh hose water, then checking the skimmers, and placing the solar cover on the pool after each swim session.

My wife thinks I'm nuts for for all this so it made me curious, what does everyone else do after a swim?

I towel off and go into the house.

I clean the skimmers and empty the pool cleaner and look at the lighst on the SWG every day or so whether I am swimming or not.

Because of the girls of various ages who like the pool, I find myself scouring the floor for metal objects like jewelry, hairpins, etc. Anything that could otherwise start a rust stain. My second stop is the skimmer for dog hair. Woof. Finally, if it's a big swim party, I might grab a little extra chlorine just to take care of perfumes, oils, etc. Then after all that ...... exhale.

Yell at the kids to dry off before dragging water throughout the house …. Then yell at them to clean up all the toys and junk they left around the pool … then curse and use lots of adult language while getting everything out back in the pool …. isn’t that what everyone does

I think the only thing I will add @JoyfulNoise is me on repeat saying “do I live with animals?” And “can you act like a person for 5 minutes until we pick up everything” (instead of whatever “baby” animal is on deck “for pretend”)

I concur. Same at my house. Andctjem I end up doing all the cleanup.

After swim here in hot fla...wet shorts act like coolers and i might get some yard work in. Water temp 81.7 today...ahhhhh

Well since I quit drinking it’s not passing out halfway into the house soaking wet and sun burned. I generally get in the pool late afternoon so it’s supper time when I get out.
