What to backfill with?

We have a 27ft round pool that was installed in 9/2021 at a bit of a gradient due to our yard. I have NO idea what to do for backfill or how to deal with this awful slope! Every time it rains, I cringe and this is now my #1 priority to get filled this summer. FYI, we are located in upstate NY and have clay soil. Thank you for any and all suggestions!

Hi and Welcome!! Looks like you did a good job putting that pool up!

I would get some of that landscape border you can push into the ground. You can get plain or go fancy. That will block the water from washing out the sand from under the pool. Make sure it is at least 3" high to. Then put down landscape fabric and pretty the area around the pool with larger rocks.

Thanks so much! We are eventually going to put a deck up over the area that’s a steep slope, but it won’t happen this summer!

What is landscape border? Thanks again!
