I'm installing an 8' round x 24" tall galvanized stock tank pool that will be able to hold 700 gallons of water. The pool itself is about 170 pounds. What thickness should the gravel and the concrete be? It'll be on an 18' x 20' pad with mesh, not rebar
Also only part of the area will need to be leveled. An area of about 5' x 18' is level already.

Thank you
Tracy

The weight will be about 6,000 lbs.

Maybe go with a PSI of 3,500-4,000 for the concrete compressive strength.

Weight.......Thickness.

6,000............4”

10,000............5”

12,000............6”

Based on 6,000 lbs and assuming good soil, you should be between 4.5” to 5” thick.

The stability of the ground also makes a big difference.
