What the heck is this symbol?

I swear I've scoured all corners of the internet. My manual doesn't list this symbol and I can't find it anywhere.

My hot tub is not heating. I've changed the element. It seems to heat for 10 minutes or so when I turn the breaker on and then stops heating and this symbol shows up. Was trying my best to diagnose myself but it's crunch time now that it's about to freeze.

Coyote spas, made by Arctic spas and they don't list this symbol anywhere that I've seen. The symbol is the one on the bottom left. 6 dots with a horizontal line and three vertical lines above.

Thanks for any help!

That looks like a Gecko control pad . That symbol is just a filter cycle icon . I believe that icon lights up when a purge cycle is activated. It is not an error code or anything like that . An error code would be something like letters on your display - Prr would be temp probe , Flo would be a pump prob , Hr -hardware error , etc .
Search for Gecko control pads, and you will likely find that symbol .
Not sure whats is wrong with your heater , but it almost seems like it is in economy mode , sleep mode or something ? Possibly a bad relay, but I believe Gecko has error codes for a bad relay ?

Good luck , maybe RD can be of some more help .

Why do you think that it's not heating?

The symbols indicate filter mode and heating.

The circulating pump is sometimes a tiny pump.

Is there water circulating?

Agreed .......more than likely you would have an error code if its not heating with a Gecko . Maybe its just taking a while because of the cold temps ? From the display, it appear like everything is working ?

How long have you had the hot tub?

How many gallons is the tub?

What size is the heater?

How long has it been running?

Is the temperature going up at all?

Does something seem different than what you're used to?

If you are really good at working with electricity, you can use a clamp amp meter to measure the current the tub is using and the voltage to see how much power is being used.

Need more info. What year? Is it new to you? Have you recently had strange letter and number combos on the display while pressing buttons? Can you post a pic of the control box?
It could be a low level or field programming error. One of the things I dislike most about gecko controls is the ability, with the right combination of buttons or moisture in the topside, to change the programmed functions. Then your spa doesn't know what it's turning on, how to behave, or what equipment it has. The programming varies with different series of controls. The series is usually clearly marked on the front of the control box.

Hey thanks for the replies everyone.

When I turn the breaker on, the hot tub seems to go up a few degrees. I've been able to get it up to 67 degrees. But after a while it stops. I've left it running all night and it doesn't heat anymore. Water is circulating well, the pump does not shut off, and I am not getting any error codes. I've had the hot tub for a few years and haven't had issues up until now. Temp is set to 104. Heat and pump one stay on on the display. I can leave the tub running for over 12 hours and the temp will not raise.

I can get more information on the series when I get home from work and will let you know. Here are some photos I have on my phone. There was no calcium buildup or anything on the element that I had removed. Sorry these pictures aren't great, I will post more info this evening.

Heater element is 4000 watts 240V.

Maybe a bad heating element. Check the amperage going to the heater or the tub. It should be about 16 amps when the heating symbol is on.

Note: Only do what you know you can safely do.

Do at your own risk.

I'm getting 0 ohms when testing the new heater element and 0 ohms on the old one as well.

I don't want to test it when it's live. I don't know enough about it. My problem is I can't get anyone to come out and fix it. Half the repair companies won't answer the phone and the ones that do, don't want to come out and fix it. I'm pretty far off the beaten path I would likely be better off to buy a new spa pack than to have someone come fix this.

Again no error codes. I'll try another new heater element again. I can her the relay click when the heat light turns on. Hot tub was wired in last year by an electrician when I moved it from the garage to the back deck, I would really doubt there's a problem with the wiring to the hot tub.

Zero ohms is a dead short, and would immediately trip your breaker if your heater were turned on. That said, it would also immediately blow the relays for the heater as well, which are only rated for 30 amps. Volts=amps×ohms, so zero ohms is infinite amps, .1ohm is 2400 amps, etc. If by that you mean you saw no change on your ohm meter, then you have an open circuit, which means burned out heater.
If the element touches the inside of the tube it will burn it out quick. I suspect your heater element is faulty from improper installation.
Test voltage to the heater by placing one tester lead on each heater terminal while the heat symbol is displayed. Your tester should be set for ac, often symbolized by a wavy line.

Turns out my multimeter was not working. I bought another one. I ordered another element but haven't installed it. Getting 14.5 ohms on the element that is installed. 0 volts going to the heater when the tub is on, with heat indicator on.

I'm assuming I'm looking at a new circuit board
