What should i pipe pump install with?

Hi, bought a intelliflo pump and had a pool guy come out to quote an install. He wants 450 bucks. So in other words, im doing the install.

I bought the unions for the pump. Thinking for this short run of pipe, flexible PVC should be ok? If so, is that something I can buy at HD? Can I use regular schedule 40 fittings? And should I prime the pipes or just use Christie's red hot?

Thanks in advance...

I would not use flexible PVC. Do it right and do it once.

I would not use flexible PVC. Is this replacing an existing pump? If so should be a minimal amount of new plumbing. Doesn't the pump come with unions? Schedule 40 is fine.

D,

Good job on getting the unions, but you really, really don't want to install any pump with flexible PVC... Use schedule 40 PVC and PVC glue.. I've had great luck with "Red Hot" without primer, but that is up to you.

Thanks,

Jim R.,
