It has a sticker with a number A420935. But I cannot find out what piece of equipment this is or more importantly what oring it takes.

Notes: I have all Hayward equip for what it’s worth. I don’t use this stupid thing but it has a small leak and the current oring has calcium etc precipitate all over it. It is sized for 3” pucks. Thanks y’all!!

If I wanted to simply remove the inline chlorinator, looks like I would need a 1/2” NPT plug for the smaller red circle. That seems easy enough. But then I’d need a cap, perhaps that would accept an oring, for the larger red circle. Any idea the thread and size of the bus red circle and if I could get a cap that would seal?

This is all you need to remove the Rainbow chlorinator. Nothing special, no o-ring required.

I used a little tape on mine, but there was a thread on here saying not to use tape because it can cause excessive torque on the fittings and break something. I didn't use gorilla strength to tighten it, and it seems to be fine.

When you screw on the cap, you can use PVC glue if you want and it will be permanent or you can use Teflon tape and sealant.

If you use glue, just put it on the male threads and screw the cap down snug.

You have to be quick and steady when using glue.

You can use a little bit on the female threads but don't use too much or it will go into the pipe.

If a little bit goes into the pipe, it is not a big deal.
