What is this pipe?

Does anyone know what the circled pipe on the right side of the picture is? The pvc pipe has a slit cut in it, so we’re curious what that pipe’s function is.
(The pool was built in the early 1990s.

Looks like an air vent for spa bubbles.

That pipe is your air intake for your spa jets. It takes in air to make air bubbles in your spa jets.
