What is this part?

Hi everyone. I need help identifying this part. It's a skimmer-like device with a sealed plastic lid. Any help is appreciated.

• Pic 1 - Looks like an in-deck leaf canister. What is the diameter of the lid?
• Pic 2 - What is the location of this pic - in the pool, in the deck, bottom of skimmer, elsewhere?
• Pic 3 - Looks like a return or suction port. With pump on, can you feel water coming out of it or being sucked into it? How far below the water line is this port?

Do you have an infloor cleaning system? If so, which one. Add to your signature.

Post a few pics of your equipment pad from a few different angles so we can see all the equipment and plumbing.

Many of us don't know all the Pentair part numbers. Update your signature to also show the common names of your pump, filter, automation (Intelliflow, CCP420, Intellicenter, etc).

Weird... I never got this tag.

I agree with Gene, looks like part of a in deck leaf cannister for an in floor system. Can't quite tell if the second pic is a close up of the first, or if it is a different cannister, but that looks like the venturi part of my A&A skimmers.

Well when the OP ( @palmettoinspect ) has a chance to stop by this post, maybe we can get clarification on the pics and equipment info. With the holidays, I'm sure many of us are busy.
