What is this called and can I just replace the spigot?

Howdy -

I noticed today that my water fall pump is leaking out of the spigot. Can I just replace the spigot if not what in the world is the adapter called because I cannot find it. Thanks

It's a 3/4" MPT Brass Hose Bibb, Standard.

You can use a hose cap to stop the leak or replace the part.

So can I just replace the hose bibb? I do like your other idea to get the cap as I don't want to start tearing into this at this time. I am already fighting a suction side leak I think on my main pump. I am about to post another thread about that if i cannot figure it out in the next few days. Thanks for your help.

It should just unscrew. Use teflon tape or thread sealant or both on the new threads and screw it in.

Be careful not to over tighten because the pvc cracks easily.

Thanks JamesW. I just capped it but did buy the hose bibb just incase. After putting the cap on it was no longer dripping.
