MY FIRST EVER POST!!!!! I think my signature line is properly set up with all my pool "stats." LOLLikely calcium flake. Your CSI is pretty high. Take some and put a drop or two of muriatic acid on it. If it fizzes, it is calcium.
I would recommend you lower your TA. If you can get it down to 80-90, you will get close to 0 CSI.
If you follow this process, and cycle between 7.0 and 7.4 while you are doing it, it will a) go faster (CO2 outgases the fastest between 7.0 and 7.4 and 2) lower pH will lower the CSI and likely stop/slow the flaking while you are lowering TA.

Lower Total Alkalinity
A lower Total Alkalinity level can help a pool owner stabalize their pH increase. We'll explain how to lower TA with a little help from muriatic acid.www.troublefreepool.com
I am having the same issue!!! My pool is brand new (completed 12/2023). I have not had any issues until about 3-4 weeks ago. Seemed to coincide when I started adding Leslie's No Phos and the Conditioner. Anyways, I am vacuuming 3-4 times a week to keep up.
My last test report from Cayman Pools (6/20) was:
TC: 1.9
pH: 8 (I did put MA in to bring down)
TA: 93
Calcium Hardness: 203
CyA: 59
My own test last night (6/23) was:
TC: 1
pH: 7.8
TA: 100
Calcium: Don't know. Don't have test for it but it's been steady per pool company tests between 203-215
CyA: Don't know. Don't have a test for it.
Thoughts? And I am going to post a separate issue about the chemical levels because I am beyond confused and frustrated. You may want to check that one out before you answer this one LOL.
As for the bubble thing above....you mention attaching to a pump but the picture looks like it's attached to your return. Explain please? I'm too scared to attach anything to my returns but I may be able to figure something for the sump.
