What is BREAK IN PERIOD?

In the TFP article START UP NEW PLASTER, it says no swimming during BREAK IN PERIOD. Never tells you how long the break in period is...after the pump is turned on, 3 days, one week, after pool chemistry is good? Help? Kids are dying to go in and it's been 4 days since the filter was turned on and we started brushing twice a day (been filled for a week.) When can we go in?

Jason, is correct. It depends (man I hated writing that) on what kind of pool you have and how the PB (pool builder) started it up.

Do as Jason said and fill in your pool info and we can go from there. I SO hoping you say this and that so I can say you can jump in!!!!

Not sure what finish you have but I went in the pool as soon as we started putting in water. Per the PB he said just tread lightly so as not to put foot prints into the plaster. We started swimming the very next day however as I recall the water was green and cloudy and not very pretty to look at. It cleared up after a few days and lots of brushing:cheers:
