We are experiencing heavy thunderstorms and downpours flash flood warnings are out and pool is filling fast. What do I do if it overflows? Will it damage the pool?
Worry more about what is the MOST downhill from the overflowing pool. Seems all I do is pump water out of mine any more. Got 3.25 last nite and down the road got 7 inches. Can't tell you how many times I've gone out in a downpour and pumped to waste! Gonna be a fun weekend they say.
With in inground liner, its been known to happen that water gets behind the liner and "floats" it away from the sides and up off the floor. I dont know the likelyhood of this happening, and I for one don't intend to find out. I drained mine down a bit lower than the normal level this afternoon.
