Gorgeous!For Father's Day, my wife contacted a photographer friend to come do some drone work at our house. These were taken in late June. Nice gift. There are also some fun video shots but I'm waiting to see if he creates an edited compilation video.
I know you posted this a while ago, but I was wondering if you had any photos across the pool from the house side. A landscaper proposed a similar shape planting behind our pool and I'd love to see and IRL version.

Today - Air 90F, Water 81F (no recent heating). Still working on the landscape post Texas February Freeze. 4 lbs of CYA added this morning & slowly moving FC up to the 70 CYA level (about 1 ppm increase a day). Shortly, I'll be getting in for my laps! 66 laps/132 lengths, 40 foot pool. That outta mix the water a bit!

81° water is perfect! Our water temp is still in the 60s. Air temp is forecast to get into the high 80s today, but drop back to the 60s most of next week. Just replaced the fan motor on my chiller yesterday, so I’m ready for things to heat up!

Nah, 81 is a little cool. 87 is perfect. No shock getting in, but still cool enough to please.

Yes - ample shade, but once the sun starts its summer trajectory, our pool gets full sun from 9 am until 4 pm - enough sun to require a chiller in order to keep water temp out of the 90s. I enjoy a nice, refreshing cold pop when diving in.
Same here. According to my "thermometer", I do not even consider getting in until I reach 88*. 90* is even more comfortable. My solar cover makes it happen. I'm up 26* since the 27th of March. I do not like any "chill" being originaly from WI. So I DO NOT like the cold.

Just don’t know if I’m ready to spend the money on the chiller. Also don’t have a lot of room on my equipment pad which may create an even more expensive proposition.

I can totally relate. It took me years to finally do it and even then it was hard to decide on an evaporative-type chiller or a heat pump with a chiller option. I just wanted to make sure it would actually work, so I researched as much as I could. Luckily, the chiller is heavily shaded, which I’m sure helps. My equipment pad was also full, but we had space in the area. I just put down an AC pad for the chiller. As large as it is, it’s not that heavy.

Cover came off this past weekend and after lots of brushing and some vacuuming, water is crystal clear! Water temp just crossed 70° today, so no swimming just yet, but the itch needs scratching. We’re settling for burgers and beer by the pool while we enjoy outstanding north Texas spring weather.

Saturday morning routine, wash down the deck, brush the walls where the robot can't go, clean the hot tub, check the chem levels (everything in the range), then take a picture of the pool. 82F - with a little help from the pool's friend - Mr. Heater! Hopefully, the sun will drive the pool to 84 this afternoon.
Some of the pots are filling with volunteer Periwinkles (Vinca) and I need to thin them out and move them around. Mr. Cactus survived and its looking much more healthy. Crepe Myrtles are planted in between the old crepes. And it looks like ONE bougainvillea "survived" the Texas Freeze. Big pot, center of the pool has a "shoot" coming up. Can't wait for the pool to hold temp without the covers. In a couple of years, the fence line will look great. Hopefully in less than a month we will have flowers in the pots!
