What do you do in winter with everything around the pool? Leave out or store it?

We are in Indiana and first time pool owners. We don't have a pool house, so everything we need to store will go in the 3 car garage somewhere. Considering getting a nice shed in next year or two.

Things I would think might need to be store inside would be :

Inground basketball hoop, but can be removed
Hand rail that can be removed.
costco brown weave chaise lounge chairs
Costco swing bench. I can cover or take off top an seat.
Polywood chairs: Im assuming these will be outside and uncovered(which is why i bought them)
Gas fire pit has a copper lid to keep out the elements ( is this enough or should i cover with a vinyl cover too
Dining table and chairs from costco (table weighs like 200lbs, so I'm thinking just cover and leave on patio

We pile up outdoor furniture, wrap tarps around it, and secure it with bungee cords. We put some flower planters on top of it to hold it down in high winds.

I would put tarps around everything including the plywood chairs.

I had an oversized storage box built. It holds the 3 chase loungers, small folding table, pool toys and few other odds and ends. That leaves 2 aredeck chairs and a cantilever umbrella. Tarp and bungee cords work well...

We have a small-ish storage shed. All pool railings/ladders go in the shed as do the wicker lounge chairs and all cushions. We stack chairs and cover them and do the same for our dining set. Come late November, the yard looks a little sad.

We live in MI with snow, so covering everything outside works for us.
