First summer trying to balance myself without the pool store. I know I overshot the chlorine, but now which one do I address first?. I'm having a little trouble navigating the pool math app. Thankful for any advice.PoolMath

Overshot FC? That looks perfectly fine. It is right at SLAM level, so still safe to swim :)

I’d would work on CYA. Nothing you can do about CH other than drain refill. TA will bring you pH faster, but will drop as you manage pH.

What type of pool are we discussing?

How do you chlorinate your pool?

Not clear there ia much to fix other then let your FC level drift back down to the ...

Thank you. It is a 9000 gallon fiberglass pool. SWG. Sorry, I thought that info showed up in my signature line when I posted. I'll have to double check when I can get to this website from a desktop instead of my phone.

I can see your signature now.

Ignore messages about “ideal” ranges in PoolMath. There is no prize for being ideal.

We know your FC needs to get down.

Increase your CYA to around 70 since you have a SWG.

With a FG pool your TA is fine where it is but your SWG may need it to be lowered.

That should make PoolMath happier.

What is the pH and TA of your fill water?

My PH was 7.4 and TA was 100.

With TA 100 fill water it is going to be difficult keeping your TA down if you work on lowering it.

I would manage your pH and not worry about your TA and see how your SWG likes it. If you get scaling in the cell then we can talk about lowering the TA.

You want to add a few more things in Pool Math. Click on the "star" in the upper right corner. Use the slider to add:

Track CSI
Track Salt
Track Water Temperature
Track Combined Chlorine

CSI is very very important to a SWG. CSI is calculated from the normal parameters plus Salt and Water temp.

You may want to add brushing reminder (no one brushes as much as they should)
