This is a new pool and equipment. The best we can determine is my SaltPool SWG is a Hayward clone.

I just received my Taylor K-205 Salt Test kit. I previously tested with salt strips and it is close to what the SWG says, 4000. I tried with the Taylor but it turn very milky and I was not able to accurately see when it turned brick red,but it looked to be around 4000, the best I could tell.

SWG set at 100P yesterday, tested early am and the chlorine was between 1-2. I tested this afternoon with the following results:

FC 1-2
TC 1-2
CC 0
TA 30
PH 7.2-7.4
CYA 0

Is it safe to swim at the current levels?
The pool gets full sun so I think it might be killing the chlorine. Should I attempt to raise TA and CYA overnight to see if this helps maintain the chlorine?

We recommend one of these test kits - Test Kits Compared. Without a FAS-DPD chlorine test, it'll be hard to follow the
SLAM Process which is likely necessary given that you're pretty under-sanitized.

Your FC is very low, and you absolutely need CYA. Your TA is also very low.

I recommend spending some time reading Pool Care Basics with a special eye towards the foundational relationship to easy pool care - FC/CYA Levels.
