What did you do to your pool today?

So, do the Pine Needles float or mostly sink? They must be hard to get off the bottom when they sink.

The needles that fall in my pool will float and if I don't get to them fast enough, they'll sink.

Today, I put The steps in the pool and weighted them down. Skimmed the top of the water and took my first swim with my Boxer JJ.

Squeezed the cya sock, added some muriatic acid, and brushed the pool.

I have not brushed nearly as often as they recommend for a replaster but it is a pain to have to take the safety cover off to do it. I kind of figure keeping all the stuff out of the pool should help too.

20x40' inground concrete pool

He's been known to get a few doughnuts tossed his way, along with ice cream and eggs he likes cooked HIS way (with cheese). Daughter is mad for me fattening him up! He's in Hound Heaven around here.

I thought so!!! You old softie.... He must be in Hound Heaven! I'd be happy, too, if someone would toss me a few doughnuts and some ice cream. I'll pass on the eggs.

I have a grand-dog. His name is Willie and lives with my son in Oregon. I love that dog..... and miss him! We won't have much room left in the yard now with the pool, but I told the landscape lady to keep a patch of grass in the back for the 1-2 times Willie comes to visit each year.

Let's see..... how can I tie that into what I did to the pool day?? I got nothin'! Suz.

Brown pine needles float, which is the most of them that fall. The green pine needles go straight to the bottom. Have yet to fish out a pine cone in 8 months. Today added a gallon of MA to fight the ever rising Ph. Thought turning off the bubblers and slowing the spa overflow( as I can't completely turn it off) would help slow Ph rise. Back to a gallon a week, just like before winter.

I weeded again, put in more trap rock to fill some settling spots, covered some landscaping light wiring that was starting to show, filled three planters with flowers. As an aside, managed to get the garden plot tilled

Swam in it, ran pump n filter, tested it, gave it dinner.
