First off thanks to everyone who has been helping with my water chemistry. I have some concerns and I don't know if they are valid. Any help appreciated.

My pool builder turned my pool over to me on January 10. On January 15 I recorded the following (will reply to this post with a link to my logs)

FC 10
CC 0
pH 7.8
TA 80
CH 120
CYA 90
I started reading Wet Edge's 28 day startup guide and realized by builder did none of what was recommended in the first 28 days. They filled it, stuffed some chlorine tabs in the chlorinater and left for Christmas.

Five Questions/Concerns:
1. CYA: When they turned the pool over to me on Jan 10, I asked why there was no CYA in the pool. He said he'd add some. It went from 0 to 90. I have drained some water and gotten this down to 60/70. Is there any risk to damaging the finish with CYA around 90 for a couple of weeks and now at 60/70? I'm going to drain some more this weekend to bring CYA down some more.
2. CH: I asked my builder how much Calcium Harness should be present in the pool. They told me "don't add any for at least 9 months to prevent scaling". That didn't sound right which is what prompted me to begin reading the wet edge startup guide. Their guide says to target 300ppm on day 1. When I asked Wet Edge directly they just sent me the startup guide (really wouldn't give me an anwer). My pool builder just told me to take my water to the pool store and do what they say. I did this and their numbers were close to mine minus Chlorine (mine was much higher). I've gotten CH up to 330 as of this morning. Any risk of damage given CH has been in the 100's for more than a month?
3. FC: My FC has remained pretty high. I've yet to add any chlorine other than the in line tabs the builder added. Wet edge recommends FC from 1 to 3. I've been as high as 10 and am hovering around 6.5-7. Pool Math is recommending FC at 8 (I'm assuming because of my CYA). Where should I keep it? Any risk of damage from these levels of FC?
4. Ph: Also Wet Edge recommends pH at 7.2-7.6. I've been 7.8-8 since I've started measuring. Pool Math is recommending 7.6. Which should I use?
5. Orenda SC-1000: Wet Edge recommends using this weekly (and during startup). Is this necessary? I have no clue as to the contents in my water fyi. It's City of Orlando water.

Typical builder. New plaster can withstand a lot of startup abuse.

Just begin following TFP recommended levels…
