Hi all,.
So here's what's going on. Didn't check the salt numbers at startup, just went with 200#. Yeah, my bad.
Did a Taylor salt test. Read 5600, was an expired kit. Took a sample to the local pool spa store. He told me on the phone he couldn't test salt, so whatever, my Taylor kit's like 3-4 years expired, so I just wanted to see how close my numbers were to his on everything else.
Turns out he tested for salt anyway. What?!? He gets 2100. I tried with my NEW Taylor salt kit. I got 5200. 10ml, 1 drop yellow, took 26 drops AgNO3 to go brick milky.
I'm SO confused. Water is clear, tastes like salt.
On a good note, my numbers on everything else and his are almost identical. So I probably don't need a new kit yet?

I would trust the Taylor kit(s)
Adding 200# of salt added 3145ppm of salt to the water.
Not to mention what was already in there.
No way their result is accurate.
