Weird Pump sound

Hi so I just noticed a strange pump sound today. I was hoping someone might recognize the sound and advise. I have been turn the pump off and on maybe few times a week as I am battling pollen and cleaning the filter more regularly. However just noticed this sound today. I run my pump 24/7 at about 1345 RPM. I did check the impeller today as well to make sure that was spinning and not clogged.

Clean your filter cartridge and empty all the skimmers and the pump strainer basket. If everything is clean and the pump is still whining you may have a bad bearing.

I did all of that this morning. Took the sound clip after.

Its probably the bearings going bad. You can have someone come check the pump but they will probably say you need a new pump rather than try to fix it.

It’s barely a year old if just a year old would assume that’s warranty still?

Yes, check if it is still under warranty. Did you install it yourself or did a pool company install it? Most pool equipment companies have a shorter warranty period for diy installations. If a company installed it contact them and see what can be done.

Yeah, the Pool contractor that built my pool installed it. The pool was completed in May. 2023 I probably put everything under warranty at some point in June so I’ve already reached out to them.
