I just tested my water today after raining last night. I pit it into pool math and I have to add stablizer, alkalinity increaser and I bought 3 boxes of Arm and Hammer super washing soda. I know where to put the stablizer and alkalinity increaser. But I have no idea what to do with the super washing soda. Do I put it in the skimmer or do I drop it in the pool? If I drop it in the pool do I put it in the deep end or the shallow end? Any assistance would be helpful.
CYA = 40ppm
FC 10 ml = 1 drop x .5=.5 ppm
CC 10 ml = 1 drop x .5=.5ppm
PH=7.3
TA= 15 x 10= 150ppm

Do you have the Poolmath app by chance?

Washing soda will increase alkalinity and PH at the same time. Looking at your numbers I'm not sure you would want to increase PH or Alkalinity at this time. Your PH will come up on its own with TA at 150ppm.

But to answer your question, if you did need to add washing soda, I would pre mix it in 5 gallon bucket of water. Always add water first and then add your chem and mix, and then pour slowly on the deep end by the return jet.

Thank you. I do have the pool math app and that is what was recommended by it.
