Waterway TWM Sand Filter Questions

Hi,
I have a (fairly old, from all appearances) Waterway TWM sand filter that was put in by the previous owners. I'm pretty sure from a conversation on another thread that I need to replace the spider gasket...it's leaking from backwash port on filter setting and now has started pouring dirty water into the pool on the backwash setting. I'm trying to figure out if I can just replace the spider gasket or if I have to replace the whole assembly it's on. I've looked everywhere on this filter and can't find a model number ANYWHERE!! The only numbers I've found appear to be part numbers. I've tried to Google it and I'm not finding anything that way either. If anyone has had experience with this, I'd VERY much appreciate some help! Thank you!

Okay, I'm so confused!! Been all over the place trying to figure it out!
Someone on inyopools.com said I need to replace the diverter assembly too, because the spider gasket isn't sold separately. I was about to order it but just finally heard back from someone at Waterway, who said I can replace just the spider gasket. I went to a pool store to see if they had either of those in stock so I could get it immediately and they said I need to replace the whole thing (which includes the top and handle), because if I try to replace just the diverter I will need a clamp, replacement spring, etc. I don't trust the pool store but I'm not really sure what I need to do. I don't want to order the wrong thing and take that much longer to get the pool running!

You can replace just the spider gasket, however it's not a bad idea to replace the spring while you have it apart.

The gasket part number is 711-1910 or 711-1910B. It's for a Waterway WVS003 valve. You can find them on Amazon and lots of other places.
The spring is a 827-0002. If the spring feels strong then it's optional to replace it. Besides you can always replace it later if it needs it.

Oh that's awesome!! Thank you so much! I literally just got off the phone with the pool store and they said it was going to be $200 to replace. ? If i can get by with just replacing the gasket for now I will!
