I was supplied with a Waterway ClearWater II Filter / Hi-Flow Pump combo when I bought my AGP. I have decided I want to hard-pipe everything but I've run into a challenge. The way the installers set up everything looked like the picture attached. I want to use 2" PVC for everything if possible, but I'm not which type of fitting/union I need to make 2" PVC work with the discharge of the pump/strainer. I will not be using the gate valve in the picture and 2" PVC FPT fittings do not fit on the threads. How can I make this work?

First, that is the intake, not the discharge.
I believe the threads on the intake are 1 1/2" Union, threads - 1 1/2" FPT
The union nut is 415-4000
The tailpiece to fit the union nut and provide a 1.5" SLP is 417-4000 1 1⁄2" Flange x 1 1⁄2" S Tailpiece
You would then use a 2" to 1.5" reducer/adapter.

Certainly confirm threads.

Use this at both the inlet and outlet:
