Waterline tiling waterproofing question for gunite

Hello,

We are about to tile our waterline with glass tile and add a mosaic. The grout is Crystal EVO 700 translucent glass grout, the adhesive is Litokol Litoelastic EVO.
Do I need a thinset or something to waterproof the gunite or is that what the tile adhesive will do?
