We're looking to replace the waterline tiles which line the top edge of our pool. There is no coping overhang from the deck, just the tile which runs up to the top of the pool:
Some of the tiles are already falling off on one end of the pool, so this is more about repair than aesthetics (though we really don't like the current look).
We're looking for info on options for the kind of tiles. The top edge is rounded-over as shown in this picture:
The tiles are a 6"x6". I'd be interested in the possibility of using smaller tiles, but whatever we use, the top edge must have this kind of bullnose. For example, perhaps a 1"x6" tile will a rounded-over edge, with smaller tiles below that. Or some other combination.
I've had poor luck getting info from local pool tile companies. Long story, but suffice to say they are more interested in trying to get us to rebuild the entire pool rather than finding suitable tile for us to effect this repair. Rebuilding the pool is 100% out of the question, and the rest of the pool surface are in good shape.
Constructive thoughts?
